What is Hyperboloid?
An IEH hyperboloid contact refers to a specialized electrical contact system developed by IEH Corporation that uses a hyperboloid wire-wound socket design. This unique geometry offers superior performance over traditional contact systems, especially in demanding environments such as aerospace, defense, and medical devices.
Hyperboloid Geometry:
- The contact is formed by angled wires inside a socket arranged in a hyperboloid pattern.
- When a pin is inserted, it contacts multiple wires at many points simultaneously, ensuring excellent electrical and mechanical connection.
